Trackback moderation to limit spam

Enabling trackback moderation allows Publishers to view and approve trackbacks before trackbacks are posted on their blog.

 

Notification by Email

Publishers will be notified by email of comments in their moderation queue. The email notification is a system message sent to the email address you configured for the Publisher in the blog Profile as well as any email addresses that are listed in the Notifications field.

 

Notifications will be sent every half-hour. The email messages will indicate the number of comments in moderation. Publishers can delete, delete and block, and approve selected trackbacks.  Single and multiple trackbacks can be selected for action.

 

Trackback Spam is automatically filtered from being posted.

Following the system check, all trackbacks identified as spam by the system will not be posted to the blog.
